About

I’m the San Diego Regional Publisher for Patch Media (an Aol Company), a community-specific news and information platform dedicated to providing comprehensive and trusted local coverage for individual towns and communities.

This is my personal blog. I write on leadership, productivity, business development and innovation.

My goal is to post interesting content that can simply be applied to business and life.  I typically post one to two times a month.

My Biography

I started my career as an officer in the Navy, where I visited numerous countries, sailed the Atlantic and Pacific oceans and practiced leadership in some of the most interesting situations.  Following my time with the Navy, I entered the private sector with business development at a private equity investment fund.  I financed companies using the funds capital.  I had the urge to build a company.  So, I joined a local online only media start-up, where I led the sales and marketing teams and business development through partnerships.  This led me to Patch.com, where I lead the sales and marketing for the San Diego region.

I have been married to my wife, Jessica, for eight years. We have one daughter.  We live in San Diego, California. In my free time, I enjoy books, exercise, photography and music.

This About Page was inspired by a post by Michael Hyatt and somewhat copied from his about page.  I highly recommend his blog on Intention Leadership.
